Ozark Furs @ Ozarks Pridefest 2026
Kicking off Hot Fur Summer with a bang!
We’ve been working hard to secure a spot where our community could show off their amazingly crafted fursuits. Similar to how other furry groups around the country participate in Pride parades, we wanted to do the same.
Throughout the month of May, several artists and everyday furs from our group brought their artistic talents (or at least tried their best!) to help put soul and character into our banner. We wanted it to represent our people and the uniqueness of the furries in our community while also giving everyone a chance to leave their mark. Every weekend in May, we gathered at Nathaniel Greene Park and painted the banner together. It turned out amazing!

The big day finally arrived on June 13, 2026, when we made our presence known at Ozarks Pridefest. The event went wonderfully. The parade setup looked a little concerning at first with the heavy rain, but the moment we started lining up, the skies began to clear and the sun came pouring through!
We marched through the downtown streets of Springfield, and from what I heard and saw, everyone absolutely loved our fursuits. The weather was perfectly cool, and plenty of fursuiters and community members joined us for the walk. Afterward, we spent a fun day at the festival checking out vendors, showing off our fursuits, and celebrating our love, history, and culture.
Later that evening, we headed over to Martha’s Vineyard for an after-party, where they were hosting raves, talent shows, and drag performances. It was the perfect way to wrap up an incredible day.

Thank you to everyone who helped create our banner, marched with us, and continues to be a part of this amazing community. We love you all from the bottom of our hearts.
We have more events planned in the coming months, along with smaller get-togethers that will pop up here and there. Stay tuned to our Ozark Furs Telegram chat for more information!
